Skills Training, Supported Employment, & Social Enterprise
Easter Seals Nova Scotia’s program partner, New Leaf Enterprises, provides an opportunity for Nova Scotians with disabilities to participate in skills and workplace training and social enterprise in their business centre. Our staff works with adults with disabilities on developing employment skills in a collaborative social setting. We also work with Halifax-area employers to identify and find employment placements for our clients. At New Leaf, our trainees acquire skills and knowledge in a business environment through practical exercises and hands-on experience through participation in catering and other business services. We also provide support with career and personal development, and have recently introduced workshops on entrepreneurship. As part of our Social Enterprise, trainees make a variety of wood craft products. If you have an idea that you would like us to help create, please let us know. We'd be happy to help turn your ideas into a beautiful home decor piece. Please contact Carlton McDonald at 902.455.9044 ext.240 or at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
Food Services & Catering
Trainees learn skills in a commercial food service setting to develop new skills to increase independence, enhance employment opportunities, and improve community inclusion. Order our catering and support our program! Our trainees participate in food preparation and production in our kitchen, and in food sales at locations such as the Nova Scotia Rehab Centre’s cafeteria, and cafes at O’Regan’s Automotive dealerships. We also cater events and functions in Halifax. Sales from our social enterprise support our skills training program for Nova Scotians with disabilities. If you want us to cater your event, please contact Irena at 902.455.9044 ext. 236 or at email@example.com. Thank you for your support!
Business & Mailing Services Program
We offer a variety of business and mailing services that can help your company.
