The Assisted Mobility program provides equipment for Nova Scotians, enabling mobility and independence within our communities. We currently have three programs within Assisted Mobility that provide clients with a wide variety of health equipment through either Easter Seals Nova Scotia’s Assistive Devices Program, Adaptive Support Fund, or the Nova Scotia Wheelchair Recycling Program.

Assistive Devices Program

The Assistive Devices program enables clients access to a wide variety of refurbished health equipment which has been generously donated to us by our supporters.

Adaptive Support Fund

At Easter Seals Nova Scotia, we understand one of the ways to take down barriers and increase independence is the ability to access adaptive supports.

Wheelchair Recycling Program

Clients of DCS (who meet program criteria) may obtain and receive new or refurbished wheelchairs based on the application form submitted by an Occupational Therapist.

Disability Travel Card

The Disability Travel Card is for people with permanent disabilities who require the assistance of a support person when travelling with VIA Rail Canada Coach Canada.
