Easter Seals Nova Scotia’s Assistive Devices Program helps individuals access mobility and adaptive equipment through donations. To apply, clients must first be assessed by an occupational therapist or physiotherapist, who will recommend the appropriate equipment and apply on their behalf.
Exceptions include canes, reachers, air boots, and knee walkers, which do not require an application. For these items, contact us at assistivedevices@easterseals.ns.ca or call 902-453-6000 ext. 229.
Because this program is entirely donation-based, our available inventory changes regularly, and specific items may not always be in stock. If an item requested is available, our technician will contact the applicant or therapist to arrange pickup or delivery.
Please note that ongoing maintenance or repair costs are the responsibility of the client. Clients are welcome to donate equipment back when no longer needed, but acceptance depends on available storage space.
Have any questions? Contact Assistive Devices at assistivedevices@easterseals.ns.ca or 902-453-6000 ext. 229.
